I am so excited to show off my card I made for my friend Shalae...I am really loving My Digital Studio that Stampin' UP! has to offer. I have been making myself work on the program and learn what the program has to offer.....I am not much on designing my own cards...that's the beauty of CASEing a card....you can copy it as long as you give credit to the original creator. Since owning the program, I have gone out of my comfort zone and am creating my OWN cards and projects. I love the fact that this was my own creation and I can't wait to print it out to send to Shalae. I will be posting some more pictures tomorrow from the photo album I am working on for Shalae as a thank you for my wonderful visit with her and her family after convention.

Just Believe
I am so glad that I am finally able to post something for you today. I have missed my stamp room and I have enjoyed my few hours up here creating....I have a great card to share with you all today....
At convention we received the "Just Believe" stamp set (120453) and I really love it. I just got my new shipment of paper and wanted to use the new in colors designer series paper pack....this pack is awesome. You get 8 designer sheets of all the 5 in colors and it comes 12x12.I started with whisper white cardstock and added pear pizzaz. I then took a piece of the pear pizzaz DSP and used the eyelet border punch (119853) across the bottom. I then took a scrap piece of whisper white and ran it through the BS with the vintage embossing folder. I then sponged it with pear pizzaz to give it some depth. I stamped the image with pear pizzaz then took my blender pen and wiped off the flowers and colored them with the baja breeze marker . Here is a closer picture of the flower medallion stamped in baja breeze and the sentiment stamped in soft suede...Wednesday, August 11, 2010
Color Confecton
This area at convention was dedicated to showcasing the colors and products that Stampin' Up has to offer. This was by far the best display I have ever seen. The production team did a fabulous job incorporating the products with candy. If you have ever been to a SU! convention, class, or workshop, you know that there will always be some kind of sweet served. The product department outdid themselves when it came to this display.....
By looking at the tray of chocolates all made by paper, ribbon and embellishments, if you didn't know any better, they look good enough to eat....all the displays were tied around this theme...everything looked edible...I loved how they showcased the embellishments and the color schemes....I love working for this company....
This house is really adorable. They are available September 1st in the Holiday Mini catalog....they are sooo easy to put together.....this one is decorated for Christmas
This one is decorated for Halloween....
I can't wait to start decorating for Halloween...Hope you enjoy today's pictures...I am way behind on blogging to due traveling so much. We had a family reunion this past weekend up at Chaska Beach in Huron, Ohio with 103 relatives on my Dad's side of the family. We had so much fun and I even got my cousin Meg to sign up to be a demonstrator. I am so excited....I made my commitment from convention that I would recruit 2 in the month of August and I accomplished my goal....YEAH! Now I just have to get back into the workshop mode....Enjoy!!!

Fabric Is Here!!!!
I was so excited when I opened up the holiday mini catalog that SU! was carrying FABRIC....you heard it right....there are two different design palates that you can choose from. The fabric shown in this card is from the "candy cane christmas." The other design offered is "deck the halls." There are some great perks to using fabric....when you receive the fabric you will get 3 fat quarters pieces measuring 28" x 18". I'm sure you are wondering what a "fat quarter" is because I had to ask the same question. When you go to get samples of fabric at a fabric store, you get a square piece that measures smaller than what SU! is offering (my mind is escaping the size). Anyway, you can get alot out of a piece of fabric that measures 28"x 18". I tried the fabric while I was at convention and it works beautifully in the big shot.
This ornament was made with the top note die. This picture doesn't do it justice but it is really easy to do. I layered 8 pieces of the fabric on top of the top note die and they ran through great. *****A great suggestion I found was to put a piece of cardstock on top of the cutting pad and it gives the fabric a nice, clean cut. As you can see from the first picture, the fabric is not just for the holidays....the fabric can be used year round. I love that I will be able to make cards using fabric...fabric opens up a whole new world for us!!! Go onto the SU! website and watch a video by Sara Douglass, Shelli's daughter, on how to use the fabric for all your projects.
