Extra, Extra.....New Hostess Benefits

I am still relishing in what I learned at the Stampin' Up! convention.  There was so much information given and soooooo many pictures.....I am trying to get all of my pictures together and then I will post a link the album.  I am still out in Utah and am loving it....it is so beautiful here.  The weather has been perfect and the vista is just stunning.

Okay....now onto more important things....While I was at convention I have decided that being a demonstrator isn't just doing what I love but it will become a mainstay, a business as well.  So what does that mean?  That means that  I am going to be teaching customers about Stampin' Up! and how it can benefit them.  I am not one to push anything on anyone but I want to share my passion for crafting.  I designed my craft room a few months ago and it has become my home office.  My first project was creating wedding invitations and I loved having this space to create them.   I used the website that SU! offers for demonstrators to get my ideas and was excited with the outcome....for those who did not get a chance to see it...here it is again....So to let you all know that you have an opportunity to learn about what I'm doing and get some benefits for helping me grow my  business.  Right now we are offering an EXTRA $25 in product when you hostess a class/workshop for me.  I do all the work...the only thing you need to help me with is getting a few friends together for a girls night.  How easy is that!!!  Please look over the promotion and I will be calling to see if you would like to book a class/workshop.....you can go onto the Stampin' Up! website to check out all of the information....

Convention Highlights

Wow has it been a crazy three days...I feel bad that I haven't posted pictures from convention like I promised.....so here are a few and when I can figure out how to post a link to my album, I will let you know.  This picture is what the stage looks like.  It is UNBELIEVABLE.  They have some amazing artists working for them that created the set.  I love the tag they made and the wood stamp blocks.  The curved tunnel you see is actually designer paper rolled....this picture doesn't do it justice....
This next picture is a photo op picture....During lunch, Shelli usually sits here and takes photos with demonstrators but when it is not in use, you can take a photo there....pictured with me are demonstrators who are in my family.  They come from North and South Carolina.  They are a great group of women and I love being with them during convention.

I will be posting more pictures once convention is over.  I have learned so much and I'm trying to process it all.......I love working for this company!!!!!

Finally off to Convention!!!!!

I'm so excited to be finally off to convention in Salt Lake City....
I haven't posted in a while...was on vacation for a week and then trying to get all my swaps ready for convention....swapping is a big deal in the card making world....I love getting other ideas from other demonstrators...I hope to come back with over 60 new cards (that's how many I will be swapping).

Here is one of the cards that I will be swapping...I really like how this card turned out.  The technique is called embossed resist.  I started with a piece of whisper white cardstock and stamped the hydragnea image with versamark then classic regal rose.  The stem and petals were stamped with versamark and classic old olive as well.  I cover the flower with clear embossing powder and used the heat gun to set the powder.  I then took pink pirouette and sponged it all over the cardstock.  I used a piece of scrap paper to cover the flower image and then stamps with versamark the vine image from the vintage vogue stamp set.  Once I heat embossed with clear embossing powder, I took one of our new colors crumb cake (formally known as kraft) and sponged around the edge of the card.  For a vintage look I distressed the edges and again sponged with the crumb cake ink.  The "thank you" come from the Believe in you stamp set (new and as a hostess stamp set). I inked it up with crumb cake and punched it out with the modern label punch.  Added dimensions to the back of the sentiment to give it some umph!!!!  The ribbon is new as well, it is very vanilla grosgrain.  I love the WOW factor of this card just by embossing the images in clear embossing powder and then having them "pop" by just sponging with other colors.

Stay tuned for the upcoming week as I will be posting news and pictures from convention!!!!

Wedding Invitation

Here is the invitation that I made for my neighbor.  Her colors are pacific point and silver.  This my first ever wedding invitation and I was very proud of myself.  I started with 51/4 by 5 1/4 piece of pacific point cardstock.  I inked up the medallion back ground stamp with versamark and used silver embossing powder. I then took the vintage circle stamp from the new artistic etchings stamp set and embossed in the silver as well.  I then punched it out with the 1 3/4" circle punch.  The initial is from the monogram sweet stamp set and was stamped in versamark, then pacific point and clear embossed.

Here is a clearer picture of the smaller medallion.  The initial was stamped on silver cardstock and punched out with the 1 1/4" circle punch.  The card was banded with white organza ribbon.

The invitation itself was printed in pacific point ink on the computer and then embossed with silver embossing powder using the swirl stamp from baroque motifs.....I promise I won't say the word "embossing" again!!!!!!  On the left panel of the card was a pocket with the swirl in clear emboss (oops..said it again).  The reception and response cards were placed in the pocket.  I was so pleased with the results and I think the bride was too!!!!

New Catalog Unveiled

I have not posted in forever...I have been working on wedding invitations for a neighbor and they took up a lot of my time.  Alot of embossing...I will post a picture later.  I've had the new catalog since the beginning of June, another great perk about being a demonstrator.  As a demonstrator, I was able to order early from the new catalog and in that order I received my FREE catalog.  You can click on the right on the catalog sidebar and download the catalog OR you can get one for FREE from me if you would like to hostess a class.

In the coming days I will be posting cards from the new catalog and also my swaps that I will be making for convention.

Have a great Fourth of July weekend!!!
